Ready for Take Off!

Right now it is 6:30 and I am waiting in the United Lounge being fancy eating cheese and drinking Chardonnay as I wait for boarding time at 8:40. Normally, I am not very fancy. The most fancy I have been at an airport is when I accidentally checked a box to board in a early boarding group for RyanAir over in Europe. I owe this fanciness to my Chase United Credit Card.

I can't quite believe it is happening already. This time tomorrow I will be in Florianopolis, Brazil, hopefully a bit tanner and enjoying a Caiparenha. To be completely honest, I am more than a little bit nervous, but I am not quite sure if it is the type of nerves you get before a competition or the type of nerves you get when you know you are about to do something you shouldn't. Time will tell.

This morning was definitely a bit crazed as once I added my last minute items, I realized my suitcase weighed 60#, and me, being one of the cheapest travelers ever, this would not fly. Now, I am from the school of if you can't carry it, you don't need it, but moving somewhere is a bit different. If I am going for around 2 months, I need my hair products! It ended with me packing one less pair of shoes, switching to a lighter (and hot pink - see photo below!!) suitcase and accepting the fact that Brazilian women have hair products as well.

Ok, time for one last glass of wine so I can sleep all night! Tchau!!!
